Moving Minds Psychology
Hiya, thanks for checking out my page!
If you’ve landed here, you might be looking for a little extra help on your journey, and I’m so glad you’re here. My name’s Fiona (but you can call me Fi!), and I’m a registered psychologist. I am also the founder of Moving Minds Psychology.
At Moving Minds Psychology, I offer a supportive, tailored approach to therapy. I like to think about strategies that will help but also work for you, and how your brain and lifestyle work. My special areas of interest are supporting clients through life transitions, whether it’s perinatal or postnatal changes, offering trauma therapy through EMDR, or working with kiddos as they navigate early challenges. I also work well with my neurodivergent neuro-kin working through experiences, and chatting all things burnout.
I work from a neuro-affirming model, honouring the unique ways every brain works.

How
Showing up authentically!
I believe that we do well when we are engaged and comfortable, and feeling safe in a clinic space. This is why I have tried to make my clinic feel as inviting as possible.
I believe in showing up comfy, this means..
You want to wear Pj's, no worries
Want to have a snack while we chat, go for
it
Want me to dim the lighting? I've got you!
I will also be showing up authentically me, which is curious, quirky, and comfy
Sensory aware + Low Pressure

Strange side note:
If you peep a fish or two on the website it is because we were called Babel Fish Psychology, a reference to one of my favourite books (and films) 'The Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy' where a Babel Fish is a quirky creature that when placed on your ear can instantly translate what someone is saying into a understandable language -
which I find so fitting for what we try to do in
Psychology.
